Artificial Intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. Under the theme of “Artificial Intelligence and its Connectivity Around the Globe” IEEE PSYWSC’18 Organizing Committee has brought to you “Artificial Intelligence Problem Solving Competition” for all the delegates from different Sections and Student Branches.

Problem Statement:

Consider ‘n’ number of persons want to meet up at a specific point. There are ‘m’ number of meet up points. The specific meet up point is one of the ‘m’ points. You are required to choose a meet up point from those ‘m’ points so that the all the ‘n’ persons have to travel the smallest possible distance to reach that point. For instance, there are three persons P1 , P2 , P3 at different longitudes and latitudes. Consider three points p1 , p2 , p3 . For this special case, you have to choose a point out of p1 , p2 , p3 so that the sum of distance of individual persons from their location to the selected point is minimum. Now, extend this concept to ‘n’ persons and ‘m’ points located anywhere in the earth and find the minimum distance each person has to travel to reach the specific point.


  1. Problem can be tackled in any programming language.
  2. You are supposed to submit all the files along with the complete report in zip format.

Judgement Criterion:

  1. Your program will be tested through several tests and the result will be compiled according to the results of tests.
  2. If the results are matching for two competitors, then the efficiency of code will be considered at superior.
  3. Scalability of the code.
